Kirkwood Mega Foundation — A Legacy Rooted in Service, Sacrifice, and Southern Strength
My name is Enoch Kirkwood, Founder and CEO of the Kirkwood Mega Foundation. This foundation was born long before I filed paperwork or opened a bank account. Its roots stretch back to Calaco Bottoms in West Helena, Arkansas, where my family’s values were shaped by hard work, faith, and a deep commitment to helping others.
A Legacy Built by Jessie & Irene Kirkwood
My grandfather, the late Reverend Jessie Kirkwood, was one of my greatest heroes. He worked long hours at the Chicago Mill, saved every dollar he could, and invested those earnings into more than 100 acres of land. With my grandmother, Irene Kirkwood, they cleared that land by hand and built a working farm with hogs, chickens, ducks, fish, roosters, and more.
They sold livestock to support the family — but what shaped me most were the moments when my grandfather would slaughter animals and deliver food for free to families who had nothing. No cameras. No announcements. Just compassion.
That spirit of giving is the heartbeat of the Kirkwood Mega Foundation.
A Family of Strength and Character
Jessie and Irene raised four children:
My mother, Lillie Mae, carried the same strength and grace as her parents. Everything I am today is because of the values she instilled in me.
I also honor the memory of my late Uncle Cliff Kirkwood, a man whose wisdom and advice guided me through some of the most important decisions of my life.
From Sole Proprietor to Incorporated Vision
In 2010, I started the Kirkwood Mega Foundation as a sole proprietorship, built on sweat, sacrifice, and saving every nickel. By 2018, through discipline and determination, I grew it into a full incorporation — not for recognition, but to create a platform that could truly give back.
This foundation stands as a tribute to the people who shaped me, the community that raised me, and the legacy I am committed to carrying forward.
The Story Continues
I am currently writing a book to tell the full Kirkwood story — not just for my family, but for anyone who believes that greatness can come from humble beginnings, and that giving is the highest form of success.
Kirkwood Mega Foundation exists in remembrance, in honor, and in gratitude. It is my way of ensuring that the values of Jessie, Irene, Lillie Mae, and Cliff live on for generations.

‘Book insert’
My mom, Lillie Mae, would always tell me how deeply she loved and respected her father, my grandfather Jessie. I should also mentiom that grandma Irene was killed by domestic violene when my mom was a very young girl. You could hear it in her voice and see it in her eyes every time she spoke her parents. She often shared how people admired Jessie so much that they would drive from Helena, West Helena, and Barton just to shop at his Kirkwood Grocery Store — business was always good because folks trusted him. When Grandpa came to town and I was a kid, he never failed to stop by, spend time with us, and place twenty‑five cents in the hands of my siblings and me, making us feel seen, loved, and important.
